We are very pleased to say that, following an inspection in March 2011, Ofsted has awarded the nursery ‘Outstanding’ in all 17 of the categories that it uses to assess the quality of a setting.
The report says that the nursery is exceptional in the extent to which children “achieve and enjoy their learning”, “feel safe”, “adopt healthy lifestyles”, and “develop skills for the future”.
This is the highest award it is possible to get and adds to the Outstanding we received in 2007/08 and the Highly Commended we were given in 2005 (the highest accolade available at the time).
All in all I think this award is an achievement that reflects brilliantly on the staff and highlights the effort they put in to offer the children care and education over and above the standards laid down in the national guidelines.
Visit the Ofsted site to read the full report, or if you’d like to know more, please do stop me and ask.
